Follow this easy recipe and make your own Christmas watermelon lollipops (ice blocks) for the kids.

They make a fun healthy snack idea in the lead up to Christmas and over summer.
 

Ingredients

 
  • 1 watermelon
  • 1 Christmas tree cookie cutter
  • Packet of lollipop sticks
  • Runny honey (optional)
  • Multi-coloured cake sprinkles or sesame seeds (optional)
 

To make


1. Cut the watermelon into slices approx 1cm thick.

2. Using the Christmas tree cookie cutter, cut tree shapes into the watermelon slices.

3. Gently push a lollipop stick into the base of each tree.

4. Lay the trees out on a plate and put in the fridge until ready to serve.

5. To make the trees extra Christmasy, brush each tree with a little honey and sprinkle the multi-coloured sprinkles or sesame seeds on top.
