Make your own Christmas Pizzas

Christmas Pizza Ingredients

  • Pizza bases - use your favourite pizza dough recipe or shop-bought pizza bases

  • Christmas cookie cutter shapes (trees, stars, reindeers etc)

  • Spray oil

  • Tomato puree, pizza sauce or pesto

  • Toppings of your choice (ham, veges, herbs etc)

  • Mozzarella cheese

To make your Christmas Pizzas

1. Preheat your oven and a baking sheet to 2200C or as per your recipe or packet instructions.

2. Make your pizza dough and roll it out flat onto a floured surface or take you shop-bought bases and lay them out on the kitchen bench.

3. Using the Christmas-shaped cookie cutters, cut out as many Christmas shapes as you can from the pizza dough or pre-bought bases.

4. Spray the edges of each of the cut out shapes with oil. If you don’t have spray oil take a small bowl of olive oil and using a pastry brush or your finger, brush the edges of the shapes with the oil. This will make the edges crispy.

5. Using a teaspoon, add a small spoonful of the tomato puree, pizza sauce or pesto to each of the shapes. Using the back of the spoon spread it thinly across each of the bases. Add more if required.

6. Next chop up your favourite toppings and sprinkle them onto each of the shapes.

7. Then sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top of the fillings.

8. Place each of the shapes onto the pre-heated baking sheet and cook for 8-10 minutes until golden.

9. Leave the pizza shapes to cool a little before serving.
