So easy to make. Just simply turn your gingerbread men biscuits upside down and decorate, using the gingerbread men legs for reindeer antlers and the gingerbread men arms for the reindeers ears.

Ingredients for your gingerbread
350g plain flour
1-2 tspn ground ginger
1 tspn bicarbonate of soda
100g butter or margarine
175g soft light brown sugar
1 egg
4 tblspns golden syrup
Gingerbread man cookie cutter
Plus you'll also need:
White icing sugar, chocolate, red and green food colouring for decorating
Water for icing sugar
How to make gingerbread reindeers
1. Turn the oven on to 190 degrees C /Gas 5.
2. Put the flour, ginger and bicarbonate of soda into a bowl and rub in the butter.
3. Add sugar and stir in the syrup and egg to make a firm dough.
4. Roll out the dough to about 5mm thick and cut out your gingerbread men.
5. Put the shapes onto greased baking trays, spacing them out as they will spread.
6. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes until golden brown.
7. Leave to firm up for a couple of minutes on the baking tray before placing on a wire rack to cool.
8. Once cooled, make up some white icing and divide into 3 bowls - leave one batch plain white, add red food colouring to the second batch and green food colouring to the third batch. Melt the chocolate.
