Younger kids may just need your help to glue their creations together.

Make your own recycled trucks

What you will need for each recycled truck

  • Recycled plastic bottles or plastic containers with a lid

  • PVA glue

  • 4 small lids from old plastic bottles or containers (all the same size, such as from milk bottles)

  • Marker pens in different colours

  • Decorating objects such as pipe cleaners, stickers, glitter etc

How to make your recycled trucks

1. First decide what kind of truck you could make with your bottle eg a fire truck, a logging truck, an ambulance etc.

2. Glue on the lid at the top of the bottle with the PVA glue.

3. Turn your plastic bottle or container on its side to form the body. Then take the 4 small lids and glue them onto your bottle's sides to make the wheels.

4. Decorate your recycled truck with the market pens, pipe cleaners, stickers etc to create windows, doors, roof racks and more - you decide!

5. Why stop at one truck! Use your recycled materials and make more trucks to add to the fleet.
