How to make your own tin can drums

 

Items you need for each tin can drum

 
  • Old washed tin can or suitable container
  • Balloon
  • Scissors
  • Insulation tape
  • Glue or sticky tape
  • Plain or coloured paper
  • Pens/paints
  • Wooden pegs or wooden spoons (optional)
 

How to make your tin can drums


1. Cut the end of the balloon off.

2. Stretch the balloon tightly over the top of the tin can or container.

3. Use insulation tape to secure the balloon to the tin to stop it slipping off.

4. Glue or sticky tape some plain or coloured paper around the outside of the tin and get the kids to decorate it with paint, felt tip pens, stickers etc

5. You can use the wooden pegs or wooden spoons or your hands for drumsticks and get jamming!
