Kids will love these strawberry Santas. They look almost too good to eat!

Follow this easy recipe and make your own festive strawberry Santas for Christmas this year.

Ingredients

  • 400g large strawberries
  • 200g cream cheese, softened
  • 3-4 tablespoons icing sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Sesame seeds for eyes

To make strawberry Santas

1. Rinse the strawberries.

2. Cut around and remove the top of each strawberry to make enough for a hat. Remove any green leaves.

3. Clean out each strawberry with a small, sharp knife, making them hollow inside.

4. In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, icing sugar and vanilla extract until creamy.

5. Add the cream cheese mixture to a piping bag or to a ziplock bag with one corner snipped off.

6. Pipe the cream cheese mixture into the strawberries until they're full and a little overflowing to help make Santa's beard.

7. Place the ‘hats’ on top of each strawberry and add two sesame seeds to each for the eyes (see image).

8. You can also pipe buttons onto Santa's belly if you have a steady hand (optional).

9. Refrigerate until serving.
