You may find after a few goes the milk becomes quite muddy looking. Simply empty the milk mixture and start again and again!
To keep your kids attention a little longer, why not add some baking soda and vinegar to the mixture too! Simply sprinkle some baking soda onto the surface of the milk, then with a dropper, teaspoon or simply by pouring, add some vinegar and watch the Magic Rainbow Milk foam and bubble away!
With a drinking straw, let your kids have a blast making bubbles by blowing into the coloured milk.

Your kids will love these homemade tin can drums! They can be made from recycled materials and things you already have at home. Why not make a few drums using various sized containers and listen to the different sounds they make. Or put some music on and get your kids to drum along to the rhythm and sing along to the songs.
Toddlers and preschoolers have an attention span of around 10 - 12 minutes, and once its exhausted, learning and listening are no longer fun for them. So when it comes to story time mix it up a bit. Use one or two of these ideas for each book you read and make story time as fun and as interactive as possible.
