How to make magic rainbow milk

 

What you’ll need for your magic rainbow milk

 
  • Milk (full fat not skimmed)
  • Shallow dish
  • A variety of food colouring colours
  • A small bowl of dishwashing liquid
  • Cotton buds

Optional ingredients
  • Baking soda
  • Vinegar
 

How to make magic rainbow milk


1. Pour a thin layer of milk into your shallow dish.

2. Add a few of drops of food colouring onto the surface of the milk. You can either use one colour or a couple of different colours.

3. Dip a cotton bud into the dishwashing liquid and then into the milk, aiming for the centre of each spot of food colouring.

4. Watch the colours explode!
 

Tips for your magic rainbow milk

 
  • You may find after a few goes the milk becomes quite muddy looking. Simply empty the milk mixture and start again and again!
 
  • To keep your kids attention a little longer, why not add some baking soda and vinegar to the mixture too! Simply sprinkle some baking soda onto the surface of the milk, then with a dropper, teaspoon or simply by pouring, add some vinegar and watch the Magic Rainbow Milk foam and bubble away!
 
  • With a drinking straw, let your kids have a blast making bubbles by blowing into the coloured milk.
