A quick and easy way for them to count down the days til Christmas Day.

What you will need for your advent calendar

  • Piece of white paper

  • Pen for drawing Santa and the lines on his beard (any colour)

  • Red pen for drawing Santa’s hat, face and nose

  • Scissors

  • Paper glue

  • Cardboard

  • Small magnet

To make your advent calendar

1. Draw Santa's face and beard onto a piece of paper.

2. Draw lines across his beard and number each space in between the lines up to 24 (1 per day in the lead up to Christmas).

3. Cut out the image and stick Santa's head to a piece of card (not his beard).

4. Stick the magnet to the back of Santa's head and hang him on the fridge.

5. From 1 December cut or tear off Santa's beard one line at a time up until Christmas Eve on 24 December.
