What you'll need to make your leaf monsters

  • Paper to display leaf monsters on
  • PVA glue or other multipurpose glue or a glue gun
  • Autumn leaves
  • Googly eyes

To make your autumn leaf monsters

1. Lie your piece of paper on the table or floor.

2. Add glue to the back of one of the autumn leaves and stick it to the paper. Repeat with all your leaves.

3. Leave the leaves to fully dry and stick to the paper

4. Stick the googly eyes to the leaves to create your leaf monsters. You can add 2 eyes to each leaf or more (or less) to make lots of fun characters.

Tips for your leaf monsters

  • Select the best leaves from the pile your little one has collected, the ones that have the most vibrant colours and are likely to last the longest.

  • When the leaves start to curl up and no longer look good, you can remove the googly eyes and re-use them for other craft projects.
