What you'll need for your recycled robot

  • Old washed tin can or plastic bottle

  • Glue gun

  • Decorations for your robot - bolts, washers, nuts, spoons, springs, bottle tops, paper clips and other items that can be recycled

How to make your recycled robot

1. Make sure your tin or plastic bottle has all the sharp edges removed or taped down.

2. Get the kids to think about how they would like their robot to look using the decorations they have collected for the face, arms, legs and hair.

For instance, they could coil old wire to look like hair and use washers for the eyes.

3. You can then help them with the glue gun to glue the decorations into position on the tin can.

4. Once your recycled robot is finished, leave it to dry.
