NORTH SHORE, AUCKLAND: Bays School of Dance in Browns Bay offers baby and preschool dance classes for kids from age 2 and upwards.
Our baby and preschool dance classes are a basic introduction to ballet, jazz and tap dancing, with an emphasis on having fun!
Bays School of Dance – preschool dance classes
At Bays School of Dance, for our youngest dancers we offer Baby Dance Classes for 2 and 3 year olds and Preschool Dance Classes for 3 and 4 year olds.
No set dance uniform is required for toddlers or preschoolers and you can also sign up for individual classes rather than a full term.
Baby Dance Classes (2 & 3 year olds)
A totally fun based class! Our Baby Dance classes are designed to nurture a love of dance and movement for toddlers aged 2-3 years.
These classes are made up with a variety of exercises and little dances using various props to help make things fun.
Parents are welcome to join in to encourage their little ones to dance.
Preschool Dance Classes (3 & 4 year olds)
Preschool Dance Classes are still very much fun based. These classes are split into a little bit of ballet, jazz and tap.
There is a warm up exercise for each class, followed by a little dance that we rotate over the term.
While this age group is still not structured, we encourage preschool dancers to stand at the barre, stand in lines and follow instructions.
About Bays School of Dance
Bays School of Dance has been in the Bays on Auckland’s North Shore for around 40 years and is now a thriving family business with 3 daughters and 4 granddaughters all teaching among the 15 or so teachers.
Our 3 dance studio location in Browns Bay allows us to offer a wide range of dance styles and dance classes for preschoolers, older children and adults too.
The aim of the Bays School of Dance studio is for our pupils to enjoy dancing first and foremost, but at the same time standards must be reached.
