The Bennett School of Ballet and Jazz has been operating in Dunedin since 1994, taking classes in classical ballet and jazz.
Dance Classes at Bennett School of Ballet & Jazz
At Bennett School of Ballet & jazz the dance classes we offer include:
Movement for Pre-Schoolers
- Our Movement for Pre-Schoolers classes teach movement to music incorporating ballet and jazz moves, using our imaginations and having fun with props.
Ballet classes for children from 5 years
- Teaching children ballet through the Cecchetti syllabus well known around the world fordeveloping well rounded dancers.
- Prepares childen for dance exams (optional).
- Develops co-ordination, poise, confidence, rhythnical sense and musicality while ensuring that the proces is still fun.
Jazz classes for children from 5 years
- Teaching children jazz through the Jazz Dance NZ syllabus.
- Prepares childen for exams (optional).
- Develops posture, muscle tone, listening skills, rhythm and enjoyment of jazz dance.
