About Elim Early Learning Centre
Elim Early Learning Centre is a small family friendly childcare centre with teachers who are registered and who keep up to date in their practice with ongoing professional development.
We are fully licensed by the Ministry of Education for 25 children – 5 children under 2 years old and 20 children over 2 years old.
Our trained teachers look after the needs and interests of our tamariki to ensure that they leave our centre as competent and capable learners as they transition to school and the next phase of their life.
At Elim Early Learning Centre we believe that we are all learners together and that learning best takes place in a fun, respectful environment where children are able to develop life skills and an ongoing passion for learning.
Our preschool programme is based on current assessment and evaluation practices where our teachers work with our families to create learning pathways that are based on the needs, skills and interests that are specific to each child.
These learning journeys are based on Te Whariki (NZ curriculum) and give our parents continued opportunity to contribute to the children's learning goals and development.
The profile book will also be a valuable tool for the children to revisit their learning experiences and to show their teacher when they go to school.
Elim Early Learning Centre is currently looking to take our assessment and evaluation practices online so that parents can more easily share information about their child with other family members.

Elim Early Learning Centre is based at 285 Cashel Street, Central Christchurch.
We are open form 8.00am – 5.00pm, Monday- Friday.
Our fees are $6.50 per hour or $200 per week (31+ hours).
