Learning through play
At BestStart we take play seriously, because children learn best through experiences created through play.
Early childhood teachers know that experience and exploration drive brain development in our youngest learners.
That means taking risks, getting messy, being creative and
playing are how infants, toddlers and pre-schoolers learn best.
Early childhood education is
play with a plan, mixed with support and compassion, and thoughtful observation. Our teachers watch children play and notice what they are interested in and where they need support. They use these observations to create activities and experiences that support a child’s learning in social skills, emotions, coordination, early numeracy and literacy, language and development.
During play and everyday moments, teachers encourage and assist children to explore, problem solve, remember things and express themselves. This is how early childhood education will help grow your child’s development during these precious first years.
