WELLINGTON: The Little Dribblers Football Club was established in 2003 to provide football for kids aged from 4 to 6 years.
It was based at a local Wellington Football Club and only ran during the winter. After a season of winter football Tony Morrison, the founder, decided to continue during the summer with 2 shorter seasons of 10 weeks.
After another season of winter Dribbling the numbers had grown so big that the club decided that it couldn't continue with the program so it was taken over full time by Tony Morrison and established as a separate entity running 4 x 10 week seasons throughout the year for kids aged from 2-7 years.
It became so popular, with over 600 children playing at 4 venues, that it was necessary to find a different way of being able to continue the rapid growth of Little Dribblers.
Franchising Little Dribblers took 4 years and during that time systems and equipment were tested, improved and a new grade for kids under 2 years was started.
Little Dribblers now play at 6 venues around Wellington from Miramar to Happy Valley to Upper Hutt and Mana.
Franchises are available nationwide.
